Mindfields Comics and Wrestling Podcast

Happy Thursday Mindfielders. I trust you all hit your locals to pick up your books? This week Joshua Michael and Tony Morales go deep dive into The Suicide Squad. Once again our bets fall flat our their faces as we THOUGHT wed know who would die first.

Goddamn wasnt John Cena just so amazing?

Colin “phones it in” form the road. Working his ass off in Dallas on an undisclosed movie set. How does he keep sane? How does he not work himself to death? These union mobster guys do “audits?”

Mindfielders! (just like a Zordon!) Em Offers..Mftees….whatever the hell you wanna calll yourselves but as long as you keep listening. Our first episode past our bicentennial (200 issues total, 100 of comics) is sure to rattle you. Did you know that we got a wrestling swerve inside the very pages of Daredevil? New Baddies! We didn’t know that it was Typhoid Mary the whole time and now they are giving us more Durdenesque twists (yeah yeah..what a twist!) Billy Tucci’s Shi Kickstarter is going strong so dont forget to support it same for the Hack/Slash Omnibus 2. Remember we are looking into WHY these comics are good. Not just cause some asshole sucker punched some other asshole in a heroic fashion. Also HOLY FUCKING SHIT The Suicide Squad was good! Why should you have a responsibility in your writing and not accidentally inspire some terrorists to follow your plan exactly?

Our Resident Badass Tony Morales digs deep on the comparison to AEW and WCW. I still lose my argument that Mindfields needs a windowless van. Comics Reviewed:

100 episodes of the comic book show. 200 episodes total of all the dissections we conduct. Kismet. We got our own shirts now thanks to miss Lil outta the Lubbock. We hit up the Big Apple comics in Amarillo and Morales and JM got “robbed.” A chance meeting with the owner got us to Found Games. Next we went straight to the SCP show…then we break down the comics.

Too hot to handle, too cold to hold

They're called the Mindfielders and they're in control

Had 'em throwin' a party for a bunch of children

All the while the slime was under the building

So they packed up their group, got a grip, came equipped

Grabbed their proton packs off their back and they split

Found out about Vigo, the master of evil

Try to battle my boys? THATS NOT LEGAL!

We go full circle MF history wise through Aliens. Our most read comics. We’re gonna be rewriting Wizard articles.

and FUCK the speculation market. Why didn’t Robin 4 start reading right to left like it shoulda goddamn have??

How do you challenge yourself as an established writer? How do you challenge your listeners/watchers/readers into loving a whole new set of characters? How do you use the clout that you have built over 8 years to make something short but beautiful?

HOW?

What is scaffolding within the structure of a story? How the hell did we explain all this within the boundaries of the infinite non existent boundaries of space through the telescopic lens that is Star Trek The Next Generation?

Tune in and find out and fall in love.
