About Kim Morrison:
Kim Morrison is a 5 times best-selling, award-winning author, founder of Twenty8 Essentials, an aromatherapist, health and lifestyle educator, mentor, Master NLP Practitioner and Time Line therapist, Advanced Hypnotherapist and a multi-tasking wife and mum.
With two aspiring athletic children, one a ballerina and pilates instructor and the other a rugby player, Kim is married to former NZ Cricketer Danny Morrison who, as a family, moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2006.
With athletic goals herself, she played netball well into her 40’s and proudly represented Auckland from 1983-1986.
Kim took up the crazy sport of ultra marathon running in her early 20’s and set a world record as the youngest female to run 100miles in less than 24 hours.
She went on to represent Australia at the world indoor 24 hour championships in the UK where she set 8 Australian records in 1990.
68-year-old world record holder Cliff Young was her mentor at the time and, to this day, lives by his ethos that success is 90% mental and 10% physical.
She has used her running story as a direct metaphor for life – riding the highs, hitting the walls, pushing through the pain barriers, crossing the line and never, ever giving up!

Addictions & Vices are something that almost every single person faces off with at some point in their life.
Yet, it’s very rarely spoken about outside of closed doors.
These addictions can range from being addicted to your phone, to your work, to alcohol, drugs, gambling, sęx and more.
So often we see men within the Mindfit Gym HQ talk about how their addiction left them feeling isolated, alone, unloved, abandoned and locked within the vicious cycle of the addiction getting the better of them, no matter how hard they try to kick it.
But you don’t have to do this alone.
There are many avenues of support, including:
• Psychologists,
• CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy),
• EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing),
• Group settings (12 step, addiction groups, men's / women's support groups).
• Learning about addictions and getting book smart 📖
• A good old fashioned friend / someone who has gone through it before
During the episode we dive deep into how we ended up being addicted to XYZ, what we define as an addiction and what we define as a vice, the impact that these had on us and tips and tricks on how we overcame them.
We also go deep and talk about suicide and how addictive behaviours can lead us to the tipping point and how we bounced back from that.
And to lighten the mood up, Michael even gave us a dope rap on his journey of overcoming addiction.

Let’s clear something up right away: no one enters parenthood as a flawless expert, nor will anyone achieve perfection in the role.
It’s widely accepted that a parent’s duty is to guide their child, instilling safety, protection and moral values.
However, many new parents discover that children offer profound insights previously unseen.
In this episode, Conor, Blase & Chris share poignant moments from their fatherhood journeys, shedding light on the reciprocal nature of parenting.
They discuss their relationships with their own fathers and how it shapes their approach to fatherhood, the importance of self-care amidst parental duties, practical tips for effective fatherhood and much more.

“What lessons can we extract from competition?
How can the success of others fuel our own ambition, considering that jealousy and blame often lurk on the flipside?.
We speak about many subjects within this, including:
Understanding self-worth
Embracing the concept of giving away knowledge rather than hoarding it
