The more knowledge you have about your human consciousness and how it works the more empowered you are to better understand yourself and all of your relationships with other people. Basing one’s understanding of human nature on true principles is essential to your success. This is the strategy of Josh Dickson as he explains the value of the flow state, mindfulness and other useful psychological concepts. His background is in objectivist philosophy and he brings these principles into his psychological practice during exciting and adventurous surfing retreats in Morrocco.
In episode 101 of “Living outside the Matrix” Josh discusses his background, his approach and what he offers his clients through these surfing retreats. He details the meaning of human flourishing and shares many practical pointers to help you understand what is required to heal yourself and rise to your peak living experience.

Being in flow, or in the zone, is extremely enjoyable and people pay huge amounts of money to watch others in the flow state – particularly musicians and sports players. However, it is accessible to all of us and can be immensely beneficial in reducing anxiety and combatting depression.
