Oluwafikayo Adeyemi is a doctoral student of Community Health and Preventive Medicine in the
Department of Kinesiology and Community Health, College of Applied Health Sciences, University of
Illinois in Urbana- Champaign (UIUC). He also worked at the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH),
Immunization section as the coverage level intern.
Oluwafikayo bagged his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at the Ladoke Akintola University of
Technology, Oyo State, Nigeria and his Masters of Public Health (MPH) degree at the Public Health
Department of the University of Illinois at Springfield (UIS). Prior to pursuing his Master’s degree in
Public Health, he has invested a lot of time working with several hospitals and community health care
centers in his home country Nigeria. He is an avid volunteer to community health initiatives and his
interests are in nutrition, maternal health and health disparities. Oluwafikayo believes that all rights are
equal. He is a member of the Rotary International and the Mu Delta Lambda chapter of the Alpha Phi
Oluwafikayo holds several certifications in both medical and non-medical related fields of expertise.
