In this episode, we cover the introduction and chapter one.

Chapter one is a brief outline on the differences between a growth and a fixed mindset.  During this episode, we cover many key differences between the two, along with some key phrases that those from each mindset will use. 

Action Items:

  1. Throughout this episode, what were you feeling? Did you feel like you identified with the growth or the fixed mindset?
  2. If you identified with the fixed mindset, don’t feel sad or beat yourself up!  The whole point of this is to show that mindsets can change.  If you do identify with a fixed mindset, imagine how it would feel to change your belief to that of a learner…that it doesn’t reflect negatively on you if you’re wrong.  In fact, it helps to build your identity because you become stronger
  3. If you find that you’re beating yourself up or feeling ashamed for being wrong over this next week, interrupt yourself!  Tell yourself that it is perfectly fine to be wrong, and that does not make you a bad person.
