Howard Witkin of Witkin Homes, a truly family owned and operated business with 70 years of operation, was kind enough to join Michele Ciardullo, Mor Zucker and myself to share his journey, his passion, his vision, and his project at Bridgecreek Townhomes  .

Retreat is not a word Ryan Retaleato relates to very well. Whether it was finding a solution to a problem growing up, having the confidence to step away from a successful career that required him to be away from his wife on travel far too much, or moving from Florida to Denver only to find out a few months later that the position he had moved for would now require his to move to Arizona (something he chose not to do), Ryan is resilient at every corner. 

A loving husband, an adoring father, and a highly motivated and successful real estate agent with Redfin in Denver, Ryan was kind enough to share a bit about his journey, what inspires and motivates him, and what has made him the man he is today. Through it all, that word - resilience - will come up time and time again - and to see a a couple handle the challenges of the world with optimism at the same time they are building a family is  incredible to say the least.

Krystal Thompson is living proof that the phrase, "we are the sum of the people we surround ourselves with," is real, both for the inspiration and care she gives and receives from those closest to her. Brandi Harvey is not your typical spa-owning, real estate selling entrepreneur. Most people you come across operating those or any other businesses will not also have first hand experience constructing bases in the Middle East during a time of war or disposing of bombs while they are at it. Yes, that's what 18-year-old Brandi Harvey was doing in Iraq as the US invaded in 2003.
Fast forward to today and she is the owner and operator of multiple businesses, a determined investor, and the mother of two. Through it all, Brandi has managed to handle anything thrown her way, no matter the circumstances or challenges, because she can truly say she has been through worse.

While I will never judge someone based on what they did or did not want to be as a kid, Madison Wayne’s answer to that question was one of my all time favorites. Now I won’t giveaway the answer here - you’ll have to listen to her episode of Mindset Matters for that - just know it does shine a light on her kind nature and spirit, and is honestly just as good a guess as someone making a prediction of their future that involves becoming an astronaut or brain surgeon. 🚀

Through Madison’s journey, certain things become very obvious - people are important to her, she wants to impact them in a positive way, and she has not allowed any bump along her road to affect the care and kindness she has for those she cares for.

The easiest way to describe Bret Weinstein is to say that he’s an extremely shy man of few words who lacks confidence…

That is unless you actually know him or even cross paths with him for two seconds, and instead you know that he is the polar opposite of those things and one of the most dynamic thinkers, leaders, and influencers in the Denver real estate market.

You’re a 22 year-old getting ready to graduate from San Diego State University and beginning to plan your next steps in life.

Do you apply for a job in your degree field?

Do you move back to Colorado?

Do you take some time off and “experience life?”

If you’re Robin Gerlach, you join a college buddy and move down to South America and begin teaching English classes to Argentines… and eventually transition into becoming the owner of THE bike touring company of Buenos Aires.

You know, basic stuff.

Of course, there was much more in-store for my dear friend - who would eventually meet his lovely wife, become a father (shout out to girl dads) return to Colorado and become a highly respected and skilled realtor in Denver… among other accomplishments.

Along the way, Robin has held true to what makes him the man he is. He is kind, caring, humble, and genuinely one of the best human beings I have had the pleasure of crossing paths with - and I was thankful he would share his story with me.
