Sean is manning the helm all by himself this week and there is loads to cover in the world of Niner sports.  Women's Basketball has reeled off 6 in a row, Men's basketball is looking to bounce back after a tough loss to FIU, Alex Highsmith, Benny Lemay, and Cam Clark crushed it at the NFL Combine, Baseball completed its second sweep of the season, Softball has started strong, Women's Tennis just knocked off a top 50 team, Men's Golf finished 2nd and Women's Golf finished 4th in their first outings of the spring.  To top it all off, Track and Field to 1st for the Men and 3rd for the Women at the CUSA Indoor Championships. 

It's time for another edition of Climbing the Hill with Mike Hill!  On this week's episode, we catch up with Mike to discuss the latest on  Healy's new contract, the Master Facilities Plan, the Brand Study, the latest successes for Basketball and the kick off of spring sports.  

For this week's episode, we are joined via phone by Head Coach of Women's Basketball Cara Consuegra and Assistant Coach for Men's Basketball Vic Sfera to discuss the latest with both basketball teams.  We dive into recent game results, player performance, and the upcoming schedule with each of the coaches as we head toward the end of the season.

After a string of exciting interviews and Bowl game content, we are back to our normal format this week breaking down the latest for you in the 49er sports world.  Both basketball teams are well into conference play and are working towards top spots in Conference USA.  Men's and Women's Tennis also kicked off their spring seasons and we're excited for the rest of the spring sports to get going in a few weeks.

Fresh on the heels of a solid start to conference play, we had a chance to sit down with Head Basketball Coach, Ron Sanchez to hear all about his college playing days and his desire to help create  good men on and off the court as a coach.  Ron is in his second season as a HC for the Charlotte 49ers after stints as an assistant at SUNY Oneonta and Delhi, Indiana, Washington State, and Virginia.  

We are joined this week for an in-depth interview with Women's Basketball Head Coach Cara Consuegra.  Listen in as we dive in to Coach Consuegra's history as an athlete in college and the WNBA and her transition to coaching.  Cara has been a Charlotte 49ers coach for 9 seasons and has lead the Niners to 5 NIT tournament appearances.
