This is how you should work with the  mini-stories: 

1. Сначáла слýшайте 🧏♀️👂предложéние (часть предложéния) пасси́вно 🧘♂️🧘♀️. 

First listen 🎧 👂 to a sentence (to the part of a sentence) in the original Russian language passively. 

2. Слýшайте 🧏♀️👂всю истóрию акти́вно 🤸🏻♀️🤸: Listen 👂🎧 to the whole story actively 🤸🏻♀️🤸:

 слýшайте и повторя́йте за ди́ктором👂🎧🗣. 

listen and repeat after the speaker. 

Pay close attention to pronunciation. Try to imitate the speaker. 

The original text of the mini-story is broken up into small excerpts. 

The adapted excerpt with English translation comes second. 

The exact purpose of the untranslated passage is that for some amount of time, no matter how short, you, my True RussiaN enthusiasts, are “swimming on your own”. 

When you have finished reading/listening to the original (unadapted) text, you will listen to /read the adapted excerpt. 

And so on.
