In August 2016, Hutchins joined Collingwood as a priority pick, fulfilling her childhood dream of playing for Collingwood in the AFL. She made her debut in round 1, 2017, in the inaugural AFLW match at IKON Park against Carlton.
She now plays for the Hawthorn Football Club VFLW side and has been a great campaigner for marriage equality and is sponsored by the Hawks Pride Group.
The Chicks caught up with Meg about what it’s like to play footy again after an 18 month Covid hiatus and what it’s like to be coached by Bec Goddard and an all female coaching group.
