When getting a minimum wage job you learn how to work in the workforce, how to take direction, be part of a team, how to interact with the public, how to follow rules and usually your need to come to work clean and neat, you learn how to start and finish a task etc, there is huge value in that. It is just a stepping stone, you eventually will want to move up the workforce ladder and get a job that takes more skill set, but the lesson you learned from your minimum wage job still apply most of the time.
