This episodes picks up from last time as Barbie and Dan discuss all the places they both worked through the years while leading churches on the mission field and in some rural settings. Many in ministry must serve bi-vocationally, meaning aside form leading in the pulpit, the Lord can often provide other means of having the income necessary to raise a family.

In this episode, we take you on a journey through the many roles we've taken on while serving in ministry, especially during our church planting days. We open up about the sacrifices that come with following God’s call—how sometimes, it means stepping into unexpected jobs to provide for our family. Listen in as we share how trusting God to provide, even in the most unconventional ways, has shaped our ministry and our lives.

Barbie and I sit down together to share a little about our time in Pennsylvania. It was here that we were assigned to restart a church, rather that start a new church plant. The time in Pennsylvania was one of the most active times we saw the Lord at work in all of our ministry, but it was not without attacks from the enemy. Today, we are going to share how a group had secretly put out a message to have me killed because of what God was doing through the work in this little church.

This week, we dive into the details of the demonic activity that we experienced during the first place we served after seminary. Dan experienced a physical attack that still cannot be explained except that pure evil had become present in the middle of the work that God was doing.

Join us as we walk through 20 years of the places (literally the homes) where we lived. A Seminary house, rent homes, an RV and even a couple of homes we owned. This is a light-hearted episode remembering all the places that God provided for us to live and raise our family.

This week, we talk with Dr. Adam Greenway. Dr. Greenway was the president of the prestigious Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. After a short 3 year tenure, he stepped down from what some would consider the opportunity of a lifetime. Dr. Greenway offers his experience and wisdom to speak to us about those difficult times that arise when you never expect it.

This week, we share our experience while we were pastoring at a small, rural church in West Texas. We learned a lot, messed up a lot, and also had some amazing victories in Jesus!
