Ministry Misfits

Rev. Joel Bowman Sr. is back with us this week to dive into a controversial but important topic of his own choosing. The Theology of Law & Order: How Christians should think about the Trump Indictments & the racial implications of the language we choose. Join us as we discuss Hypocrisy, Morality, & idolatry within the Law and Order obsession of the US.

THIS IS A THEOLOGICAL COMMENTARY NOT A POLITICAL ONE!

Its Episode 100! This week the Misfits are celebrating 100 regular season episodes, by taking a deeper look into a conversation we have had brief moments of over the past 100 episodes, Forgiveness. What does it mean to forgive? What does forgiveness look like? Have we been looking at forgiveness all wrong, all along?

Its finally happening! This week we are jumping into hyperspace with Joe Dea (BuddyWalk With Jesus, Kingdom on the Road) & Matthew Winter (Brother Matthew, Kingdom on the Road) to talk about #ExoTheology or the #Theology of #Aliens. We are back this week, kinda. Andrew is suffering from smoke-infested lungs & Brandon has no internet, but we are here & have a lesson on contentment to share. For the past few months, Andrew has been doing some intense thinking on this topic, & he has finally found a way to try & present what he has found to everyone. Join us this week as we discover what Paul actually meant when he said that he had "Learned what it means to be content."

We are finally getting around to a conversation that started between the misfits in a small group over a year ago. What is the deal with personal & corporate Worship? Why are there so many debates, styles, expectations, judgments, & opinions on something that is so important to God, that it was the first thing He talks about in His laws & commands to us in both the Old & New Testaments? How are we supposed to navigate all of this anyway?

Want to see an example of the difference in preference & worship style between the misfits? They have put together a 40 song Worship Mix highlighting there different approaches. Check it out now on spotify! Brandon picked 1-20 & Andrew 21-40.
