I realize that no matter the approach in dating, you have to adapt and curtail certain things that were acceptable in the beginning. 

There's a simple mantra I follow in this journey of single parenting. No matter how it looks, or what feedback the child gives me, I keep showing them love.

A simple phrase uttered to me in my college days helped me shape the foundation of how I'm able to shift and adapt without too much worry of any outcome.

Whether you're a friend, family, partner, co-worker...the energy and effort your make in our connection is the one that will be sustained.
