“Is this your apartment?” Ed calls out to Diana, who is in the bedroom. Diana walks back into the living room. “Uh,” says Diana,”Well, no – actually, it’s my brother’s place. I’m sort of staying here temporarily.”Ed nods. “Did you check the refrigerator?” asks Diana. “No, no, no,” says Ed. “I, uh, I really got to be – – shoving off.”“No, wait, please?” asks Diana. “I really don’t want to be alone.”Ed nods. “Let me make a call,” says Diana, “get myself organized, okay?”“Okay,” says Ed. “Thanks,” says Diana. She walks back into the bedroom. Diana closes the bathroom door. There’s a giant poster of Elvis on the bathroom door. Ed sits down at a desk, and picks up a portfolio. Inside, there are assorted pictures of Diana: modeling pictures, baby pictures, school pictures, and Polaroids.
