Just as they put on their seatbelts, an announcement is made in Spanish and English. “Ladies and Gentlemen, mechanical difficulties necessitate our asking all passengers to kindly deplane and return temporarily to the boarding area. Thank you for your cooperation, and our apologies for the delay,” says the announcement.All the passengers except for Ed and Diana exit the plane. A flight attendant walks to their seat.“I’m afraid all passengers have to get off the aircraft at this time,” says the flight attendant.“Gee,” says Ed, “do you think we could just wait it out in here? It’s so much more comfortable than out there.”
