  • Humanity at the Beautiful Gate
Many miracles were performed by the apostles after Pentecost, (Acts 2:43). Luke has recorded one which gives us a picture of the world's humanity and of the kind of messengers God can use to reach them. This is the miracle of the healing of the Lame Man. The residents of Jerusalem should not be surprised by miracles – many had happened throughout the Old Testament eras. Here was the evidence that the time of the age of fulfilment had come. Isaiah 35:5-6 prophecies that at that time the lame should leap like the deer. God had glorified His Son, risen from the dead. He was the Suffering Servant, the Holy and Just One, the Prince of Life, the prophet like Moses, the Seed of Abraham, the Returning Lord. The whole world needs to know Him. Where are His consecrated messengers today?

  • What Does Jesus Think of America?
The sermon draws a theological parallel between the United States and the unnamed man casting out devils in Mark 9, arguing that America is currently acting in alignment with God's will despite opposition from other nations. Bro. Qualls presents ten similarities, asserting that America is anonymous in prophecy, alarmed by global suffering, available to act in Christ's name, and able to execute decisive actions that others cannot. This message serves as a defense of current American foreign policy, particularly regarding Iran and Israel, framing these efforts as spiritual victories rather than mere political maneuvers. The tone is confident and pastoral, encouraging believers to view national events through a biblical lens and to trust that God is rewarding America's unique role in securing freedom and spreading the Gospel.

  • The Miracle Between the Miracles
This sermon examines the encounter between Jesus and the woman with the issue of blood in Luke 8, highlighting her physical, financial, and social desperation as a reflection of the human condition. The message emphasizes that while physical ailments are real, the root problem is sin, which no amount of self-effort, religious ritual, or moral improvement can resolve. By pressing through the crowd to touch Jesus, the woman demonstrates that salvation is found not in human works but in trusting in Christ's sufficiency. The sermon concludes with a call for sinners to abandon their attempts to save themselves and instead rest in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

  • Manna in the Wilderness
This was one of the most important events in Jesus' ministry. It is, in fact, the only miracle recorded in all four gospels. The gospel of John essentially gives it a full chapter, connecting it directly to Jesus' "I am the bread of life" discourse. Luke has a much shorter version, but as we will see, this miracle is still utterly profound. Even when you don't highlight the connection between this feeding and the Lord's Supper, the connections to the kingdom of God, the wilderness and the Exodus, and to our basic human need to eat and be satisfied are full of rich spiritual nourishment for us. This morning, by the grace of God I will show you that Jesus is the king who feeds His people, even in the wilderness.

  • Lowly and Riding a Donkey
Pastor Brian's sermon examines the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem as a deliberate fulfillment of Zechariah's prophecy, highlighting the contrast between a conquering king and a meek savior. By analyzing the four distinct groups present during the event—the disciples, the multitudes, the curious onlookers, and the Pharisees—the message illustrates varying levels of understanding and commitment to Christ. Pastor Brian argues that while the crowds honored Jesus, they often undervalued his divine nature and the true purpose of his mission, which was reconciliation through sacrifice rather than political liberation. This historical account serves as a mirror for contemporary believers, challenging them to examine their own motives and the depth of their discipleship. The central call is to move beyond casual curiosity or self-serving faith to a life fully surrendered to Jesus, recognizing that only such dedication matters when He returns as judge.
