  • Peter's Missionary Journey
In this evening sermon Pastor Rockhill traces Peter's missionary travels through the Gentile regions of Lydda, Sharon, and Joppa, showing how the risen Christ continued to build His church through the ministry of His apostle. The central burden is that Peter possessed no power in himself; every mighty work was done in the name and by the authority of the living Jesus Christ, confirming the word of the gospel so that many turned to the Lord. Expounding the healing of the paralyzed Aeneas and the raising of Tabitha, called Dorcas, Pastor Rockhill draws out the faith of Peter and of those he served. He lingers on the meaning of "saints" as ordinary believers made holy by justification through faith, not a special class of super-Christians, and he honors Dorcas as a faithful woman who abounded continually in good works and charitable deeds toward the poor and the widows. Doctrinally the sermon dwells on the sovereignty of God over life and death, the confirming purpose of apostolic miracles, and the fulfillment of Christ's promise in John 14 that His disciples would do His works to the Father's glory. Pastor Rockhill notes how Peter's lodging with Simon the tanner foreshadows the passing away of the old ceremonial order and the gathering of Jew and Gentile into one body in Christ. By way of application, he calls the congregation to live faithfully for the Lord even in small, hidden acts of service, to rest not in signs and wonders but in the Spirit and the truth of God's written Word, and to bear witness so that Christ may draw many to Himself.

  • The Gift of Life from the Author of Life
Text: Acts 3:1-26 | Speaker: Levi Bakerink | Description: As Peter and John entered the Temple they healed a man who was lame from birth. But this act of divine healing was not an end unto itself, but an opportunity to present the gospel. As a crowd formed to witness this healing miracle, Peter preached about an even greater gift available to everyone that day, the gift of life from the Author of Life himself, Jesus Christ. Through repentance and faith in his name, we all can have times of refreshing, forgiveness of sins, and new life.

  • Go, Your Son Will Live
This sermon examines John chapter four, contrasting the superficial faith of the Galileans with the genuine belief of a royal official. The preacher argues that while miracles attract attention, they do not save; only the Word of God brings true spiritual life and saving faith. By analyzing the official's journey from seeking a miracle worker to trusting in Jesus' promise, the message highlights that authentic faith relies on Christ's authority rather than physical signs. The narrative demonstrates how desperate dependency leads to a deeper understanding of who Jesus is, ultimately resulting in the salvation of the official and his entire household. The central theme emphasizes that belief in the Son of God is the essential requirement for eternal life.

  • Why Every Christian Needs Bible Prophecy
Why Every Christian Needs Bible Prophecy. 2 Timothy 3:16–17; Revelation 1:3 (KJV)Have you ever started a great book and never finished it? Sadly, many Christians do the same with the Bible. They love the stories of Genesis, the miracles of Jesus, and the practical lessons of the Epistles, yet they avoid the prophetic books because they seem difficult to understand. In doing so, they miss some of God's greatest promises of hope, encouragement, and victory. The question that arises on every heart of a born-again believer is how should we study the Word of God—from Genesis to Revelation. Discover how Bible prophecy strengthens our faith, proves God's sovereignty, encourages holy living, and fills the believer with hope in an increasingly uncertain world. Learn why God did not write the final chapters of His Book to confuse His children, but to comfort and prepare them for the glorious return of Jesus Christ. Some Christians and preachers refuse to study prophecy. Don't stop reading before the end—the greatest chapters are still ahead! The believer who understands God's promises for tomorrow will have greater confidence, courage, and purpose today. "The Bible does not end with a funeral—it ends with a wedding. It does not end with defeat—it ends with victory. It does not end with the grave—it ends with glory. So don't stop reading before the end, because the Author has already written our victory through Jesus Christ."

  • A Compassionate God
The profound compassion of Jesus is revealed in Mark 6:53-56 - not merely empathy but a suffering-with response to human pain. Connecting this passage of Jesus' personal ministry to the cosmic battle against sin and death, this illustrates how Christ's earthly miracles demonstrate His divine nature and unchanging character. In Old Testament prophecies and New Testament teachings, Jesus' compassion is rooted in His identity as God incarnate, and in His human nature, entering into our suffering to offer salvation. The message challenges listeners to approach Christ with desperate faith, emphasizing that healing and forgiveness are available through grace alone, not personal merit. Ultimately, the sermon assures believers that while earthly circumstances may vary, Christ's compassionate presence and ultimate victory over death provide enduring hope and rest for weary souls.
