In this episode of Miracles in the Madness, Ashton talks honestly about the power of words, the practice of choosing a Word of the Year, and how God can use simple, intentional language to reshape your mindset, your faith, and even your family life.
You’ll hear encouragement rooted in Scripture, personal testimony, and practical wisdom for moms who are tired of striving but still want to grow spiritually. Ashton shares how choosing words like persevere, peace, or obedience isn’t about forcing productivity — it’s about agreeing to walk with God even when life feels messy, loud, or exhausting.

What do you do when life feels overwhelming, your efforts feel unseen, and you wonder if your life even matters?
In this episode of Miracles in the Madness, Ashton reflects on the timeless themes of It’s a Wonderful Life and explore why this story resonates so deeply with overwhelmed parents, especially Christian moms, carrying quiet burdens during the holiday season.
Through the lens of George Bailey’s story, we talk about:
This episode is an encouragement for the mom who is tired, discouraged, or questioning her purpose. Just like George Bailey, you may never fully see the ripple effect of your love, prayers, and perseverance this side of heaven - but God does.
If you’re navigating overwhelm, comparison, financial pressure, or emotional exhaustion, this episode will remind you that:
This is a faith-filled conversation about hope, perspective, and trusting God when life doesn’t look the way you imagined - but the story He is writing is still beautiful.

As the calendar turns and a new year begins, many of us feel the weight of fresh starts, spiritual goals, and the pressure to “get it right.” But what if January wasn’t about becoming a better version of yourself — and instead about remembering who God made you to be?
In this episode of Miracles in the Madness, host Ashton invites you into a grace-filled conversation about faith in the in-between season — after Christmas and before the new year takes full shape. Together, we reflect on the past year without judgment, release the pressure of spiritual perfection, and rest in the truth that God does not change just because the calendar does.
Ashton shares her personal journey with choosing a word of the year instead of resolutions, how vision boards became a tool for spiritual awareness rather than performance, and why “New Year, Same God” has become an anchor truth for walking faithfully through motherhood, exhaustion, uncertainty, and growth.
This episode is for the woman who:
Every day can be a fresh start, not because you’re trying harder — but because God’s mercy is new every morning.

New Year, Same God Word of the Year Guide
Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.
Christmas isn’t always joyful—but sometimes, it’s exactly where God meets us in the most unforgettable ways.
In this episode of Miracles in the Madness, I share a few Christmas miracles that I believe God worked in my life—moments where fear, uncertainty, and lack were met with His protection and provision.
I tell a couple stories of Christmases past, when Christmas felt a little scarier than normal. In my opinion, they were modern day miracles in my own life.
This episode is a reminder that miracles don’t always look dramatic or loud. Sometimes they look like protection, provision, community, and “just enough” at exactly the right time.
If you’ve ever looked back and realized God was working in ways you didn’t fully see at the time, this episode is for you.

Christmas traditions aren’t just memories—we’re participating in a story that began with the birth of Jesus. In this episode of Miracles in the Madness, we reflect on how traditions are woven throughout the story of Christ’s birth and how they continue to shape faith, family, and belonging in our homes today.
I share some of the traditions that shaped my own childhood—family baking and cooking days, attending Midnight Mass, school Christmas programs, singing carols (with motions to The Twelve Days of Christmas), and the quiet beauty of my grandmother’s nativity scene and Christmas tree. These simple, meaningful moments helped point my heart toward the true meaning of Christmas.
This episode is an encouragement to overwhelmed moms who may feel pressure to “do it all” during the holidays. Traditions don’t have to be elaborate or perfect to be sacred. They simply need to be intentional and rooted in Christ.
In this episode, we talk about: ✨ How traditions are connected to the story of Jesus’ birth ✨ Why Christmas traditions matter for faith and family culture ✨ Letting go of comparison and embracing what fits your family ✨ How everyday traditions can point children back to Jesus ✨ Encouragement for moms creating new traditions in a new season
I also invite you to reflect on your own family traditions—and I’d love to hear what traditions are meaningful in your home. Whether they’re long-standing or just beginning, your traditions matter.

As Christian moms, we want to hold on tight — to our babies, our routines, and the sense that we can protect them from everything. But what if God calls us, like John the Baptist, to decrease so that our children — and Jesus’ presence in their lives — can increase?
In this heartfelt episode of Miracles in the Madness, Ashton reflects on John 3:30 and the holy surrender that comes as our children grow. Through tears, prayer, and faith, she shares how decreasing our control makes space for God’s glory to shine through their lives.
For the overwhelmed Christian mom learning to let go, this episode will remind you: your role may change, but your impact — and God’s faithfulness — never fades.
