I had the pleasure of sitting down with two Syrian refugees I met in Sweden. These beautiful human beings gave me a better picture of what life was like before and after the war started.  They didn't flee immediately but only after 4 years when their number was up and they were going to be drafted into Bashar al-Assads military. I'm grateful they shared their story and that I have two new friends. Their story is inspirational in that after you listen you realize anything is possible. Enjoy!

Donna Cuthbert found it hard to make the initial jump to start traveling the way she really wanted. When she made the decision it was based on a basic trust that humanity is predominantly good natured. With that frame of mind she set out on many adventures that would test her mentally, physically and emotionally. From hitchhiking around Africa, riding horses across Mongolia to bicycling to South American from California. She was wonderful to talk to because she's just a ordinary girl from London. Enjoy!

Bryce Kuklok knows a lot about isolated weird places. Currently he owns and operates Giants Foot Surf in Nicaragua. However, he had a very different life before Nicaragua. When he graduated from the University of Davis his parents asked him what he wanted for a graduation gift and he said, "Send me to school to learn Arabic". Bryce had a plan. Within a year he was a "Private Contractor" in Iraq and Kuwait dealing with a lot of dirty money. Enjoy his story!
