In this episode, I’m talking about something many people will experience at some point in their lives: Having an animal go missing. Whether it’s a dog who bolts unexpectedly, a cat who never returns home, a horse who gets loose, or an animal who intentionally wanders away, these situations can carry so much fear, urgency, grief, confusion, and uncertainty.
I wanted to create this episode because I think there is a lot of curiosity around how Animal Communication can help in situations where animals are missing, but also a lot of misunderstanding around what this work is, what it can offer, and what its limitations are.
In this conversation, I share my perspective and experiences working with missing animals, including the different reasons animals may go missing, the types of information that can sometimes come through in these sessions, and why every communicator will experience this work differently. I also talk about the emotional intensity that can exist within these cases, both for the guardians and for the communicator.
We also explore some of the harder conversations around missing animals, including animals who don’t want to be found, animals who intentionally leave to transition, and why Animal Communication is never about forcing an animal to come home or override their sovereignty.
This episode is honest, nuanced, and deeply compassionate toward both the humans and animals navigating these experiences.
Whether you have personally experienced a missing animal situation, are curious about this side of Animal Communication, or simply want to better understand the complexity behind these cases, I hope this conversation brings perspective, support, and understanding.
