Disappointing
I purchased this based on the great reviews (4.5 stars out of 23 reviews) but I was very disappointed. The story itself was okay, but the writing was flat and the characters were bland and boring. After just a few chapters I was unable to keep reading; instead, I just did a quick (very quick) skim through the book so I could follow the story and see how it ended. Normally I would have gotten a sample sent to my Kindle first, and that would've been enough for me to know I didn't like it. But the price was low and the reviews were good so I just bought it without sampling first. I'm glad I didn't pay much. I don't think I'd purchase another book from this author.
Missing Child
I am a big Patricia McDonald fan and make it a point to read every new novel she writes. I definitely enjoyed her latest book, although there have been others I've enjoyed more. That said it did keep me guessing until the very end, even after I was certain I had it figured out. All in all I found it a good enough read to pass on to one of my children in hopes that she'll discover a new author that she too will enjoy!
Great book
I really enjoyed this book. There were many twists & turns that kept me guessing till the end. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good mystery.
Great read, highly recommend for suspense loving readers.
I couldn't seem to put it down once i started, and the main character was likeable, despite some moral flaws.
I liked it
I have read nearly every other book by this author except for her last few. Most I have always liked, with only one or two that I didn't. I really liked this book, except for the ending. I won't spoil it, but I really didn't care for the reason for the kidnapping.
The book starts out really well and moves along at a very nice pace. The author does a good job of keeping the pace and making you want to keep reading to find out what is going on and ramping up the suspense. Lots of twists and turns and I do recommend this book except for the ending.
