Today’s episode talks about Patrick’s new book, The Christian Case for Bitcoin. As many of you are aware, Patrick is interested in exploring the intersection of the Christian faith and Bitcoin. This podcast is a result of this. The Christian Case for Bitcoin codifies this in written form. It’s an in-depth and thoughtful look at why Bitcoin matters to the world. How have we have arrived at this point, and how Bitcoin can fix a lot of what’s wrong in the world. However, unlike a traditional Bitcoin maximalist, Patrick realizes that Bitcoin can’t fix the soul. Only Jesus can do this. But we have a great opportunity ahead of us to use Bitcoin to expand God’s kingdom. Bitcoin can be used as a tool to accomplish this. The Christian Case for Bitcoin equips Christians to understand this new paradigm of evangelism and provides the Christian with a post-Christian language to reach the lost.

Today we talk to Jessica Hodlr and her new work at PlanB Passport with Kattie the Russian. This is an essential conversation for Christians to have but seemingly awkward. For a long time, we have married our faith and politics. And with this, our patriotism. It may seem a little uncomfortable to talk about a second passport or residency in another country. Because of this, we have William from Bitcoin and the Bible on to help introduce this conversation. Will provides a solid Christian base and is also a Libertarian politically. Matt and I talk with Will as an intro to the discussion with Jessica. We hope you enjoy the show!

Facts must inform the Christian understanding of Bitcoin and its impact on society. In this episode, we talk with Adam Moore about his recent rebuttal to an article by Greg Phelan in the Gospel Coalition: Should a Christian invest in Bitcoin. Adam's rebuttal was published in Bitcoin Magazine. Patrick talks with Adam about his rebuttal and the broader Christian response to Bitcoin.

On today’s episode we talk with Texas Slim. Slim is a 7th generation Texan. He has a passion for Texas and the culture that it defines. We talk about his fascinating journey from growing up in a small town in the pan handle of Texas to working within the telecommunications industry.

His roots and his independent spirit finally led him down the Bitcoin rabbit hole where he started learning the truth about food production in the US. His fascinating substack essay “Harvest of Deception” is how I first learned about Slim. I wanted to know more so I invited him on the podcast.

We also talk about Slim’s Texas Beef Initiative. An innovative way for you to personally secure your own food supply chain.

This is such a fascinating discussion.

You will also meet Matt Solik. Matt is the lead creative arts Pastor at North Metro Church in Kennesaw Geogia. Matt is joining the team as co-host and producer of the show.

I’ve just published my Bitcoin for Churches book on Amazon. It’s a comprehensive go to resource from start to finish on understanding Bitcoin and our corrupt financial system and how the church can leverage Bitcoin’s technology for God’s kingdom. Please check it out.
