On Resurrection Sunday we celebrate that Jesus did not stay dead in the tomb, but rose from the grave conquering sin and death. Jesus' victory over sin and death gives all those who put their faith in Him the chance to also conquer sin and death and live forever with Him. We believe that a public profession of faith invites the Holy Spirit to bring us to life. We are not just physical bodies with dead spirits, but we now experience life - physically and spiritually.

Do you ever take a moment to remember that Jesus knows your heart? Jesus knows what is in the heart of all men. If we believe that Jesus was a good teacher, but we haven't trusted him to be our saving king, he knows. If we struggle to fully follow His teachings always, but our hearts are set on knowing him and trying to do so, he knows.

As Jesus enters into Jerusalem he finds the temple full of noise and commerce. The place that was meant for worship and prayer has become a house of trade.

Everything Jesus did had purpose. The purpose of His first miracle was not just to save the bride and groom from shame but to announce that he was doing something new. The old ways were changing and the best was yet to come.

How do you know if God is speaking to you? You may have asked yourself this question many times. God offers 3 things that work together to give us guidance. His word, His Spirit, and His church.

If you’ve been around church for very long, you’ve probably heard the phrase “you can’t serve God and money”. Did you know that Jesus actually mentions money in almost a third of his parables? To be fair, Jesus used money to talk about a lot of things that weren’t actually money related, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t have something to say about it. Today we start a new series focusing specifically on what Jesus said about a whole bunch of things. If Jesus was the word of God that became flesh as the scriptures say, then certainly his words should matter to us.

The Bible is a wonderful resource for Christians for lots of reasons. Through His word, God reveals himself to us and teaches us what it means to be the humans we were created to be. Learning these truths doesn't always happen the first time through. Often understanding the Bible takes time and intentionality. It was intentionally written to be meditated and thought on.

As a church in 2026 we have a goal to pursue being together. We want to see this lived out in three ways - together with God, together with each other, and together on mission for our city.
