The Pharisees try to trap Jesus in a tough question about divorce. What do the scriptures have to say about Divorce? Well, Jesus answers the question of Divorce, Jesus turns it on its head and talks about hardness of heart.

Jesus teaches about Sin, and to make a long story short, he tells us that if we aren't harsh with sin, sin will be harsh with us. Sin is going to be ruthless, it's not cuddly and cute, and we need to be ruthless back, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We all have hopes and expectations in Jesus, and the disciples had their own thoughts about what Jesus came to do. Jesus confronts their expectations, he didn't come to do what they wanted him to do, he came to do something far better.

The Disciples literally have a mountain top experience as they witness Jesus' transfiguration. As they come back down and are faced with real life and real issues, they have to figure out how to live out the truths of the mountain Top experience.

Whether we try to or not, we all have an image of who Jesus is, the disciples did too. Jesus reveals who he really is to them on the mount of Transfiguration.
