Guest speaker Geoff Surratt describes miracles as something so extraordinary that they can only be attributed to God. His sermon plots the attributes of miracles and what elements are the basis for them occurring, using the example of a man trying to save his son's life by seeking Jesus' help and pointing to how miracles always bring glory to God.

There's a line in the Christmas song, O Holy Night: "a thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices." Not a giant, unmissable, in-your-face, tidal wave of hope…a thrill of hope. Almost a hope that might be hope. That line is so good, because the reality is that when Jesus was born, it wasn’t a tidal wave of change, right? So far in this series we’ve talked about the lie of “I’m not enough” and we’ve seen how that lie is exposed by the Law of Contrast. We’ve also talked about the lie of fear and the power of courage. Today we’re going to talk about the lie of confusion. The best way to combat confusion is with clarity - so where do we find clarity?

There are things in life that cause fear; it's ok to feel the fear, but not to give in to it. When you are at your most fearful, courage can fight fear back where it belongs so you can move forward, doing what needs to be done - and it can be done with small steps. Fear suffocates celebration, and God wants you to shine and overcome it.
