At the age of eighty and as a shepherd of his father-in-law's flock, Moses is given a seemingly impossible mission by God to return to Egypt and lead the Israelites out of bondage.   Where are they going? To the land of milk and honey, promised by God to Abraham's descendants through Isaac and Jacob. 

We see Moses give reasons why he is not the right person for this mission. However God reassures Moses that he will be with him.  God also provides a name for Moses to give to the Israelites - "I AM WHO I AM". 

What objections does Moses give that he is not the right person for this mission?

• Do we sometimes give reasons to God on why we are not the right person to serve Him?
• What is the meaning of the name "I AM"? 
• Where is the land "flowing with milk and honey"?
• Why is this the time God chooses to take the Israelites from bondage?
