The medical evidence is clear:  we need more than good medical interventions to be well.  We need beauty and connection and compassion.  St Mary's works to create a healing environment in many ways, including the use of live therapeutic music, therapy dogs, and chaplaincy support.  Hear how these resources make a difference for our patients as well as our colleagues.

The Georgia HEART Hospital Program and St. Mary's works together to help rural and critical access hospitals take advantage of an exciting opportunities to increase funding and the ability to provide for the health care needs of thousands of Georgians!

Hear from Todd Drake with the cardiopulmonary rehab program about the locally taught program from The American Lung Association's stop smoking. The program is called "Freedom From Smoking" and it is the Gold standard for smoking cessation.

Veterans are everywhere! Many do not access the VA system and they exist right here in our communities. Even though they are no longer on active duty, veterans present with specific health issues related to their service that are not normally seen in the general population. Understanding their service, military culture, and the unique needs of this patient population are necessary to properly take care of those who have paid a high cost for securing our freedoms.
