71 Ex Armed Forces personnel killed themselves in 2018 alone and its probably more then that due to the government not properly recording the suicides of soldiers. How many of us know these peoples names? or how much they suffered. I talk about my experience of leaving the army and having the same thoughts, also about how isolating and hard it is for people when they leave the army! SO PLEASE if you know someone ex forces you need to look out for them and ask them simply If there ok? without my friends and family stepping in maybe I would just be another statistic! PEOPLE WHO HAVE SERVED THEIR COUNTRY SHOULD NOT BE KILLING THEMSELVES AFTER THEY LEAVE THEY NEED HELP! The last 6 months I have been off the grid facing many challenges. Not having anywhere to live, battling my own mind and being somewhere in life that I don't want to be, having no money no motivation and feeling sorry for myself.
