From hours-long filibusters to fighting for life-affirming legislation, Mike has consistently taken a stand—even when it meant standing alone. Along the way, he’s gained and lost relationships, learning firsthand that integrity and truth often come at a price inside the Capitol.

But through it all, Mike sees something deeper: the steady, faithful hand of God guiding each step of his journey.

With the support of his wife of 46 years and their five children, Mike continues to press forward—choosing obedience over comfort, and conviction over compromise.

Drawing from Proverbs 3:5–6, his mission remains clear: trust in the Lord and follow wherever He leads.

And while critics may see the ridicule he faces as a burden, Mike views it differently—as a reminder of Christ’s words: “If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own…”
