A light comedy novella
Based on the enduring characters created by Jane Austen, this is a contemporary spin on a classic tale of love denied and love discovered.
Christmas just became a lot more complicated for dog psychologist Lizzie Bennet and her sisters. While shopping in London, they find little urchin Annie and her dog, Sammy. As a fierce snowstorm takes over the city, the aloof but alluring Mister Darcy invites the girls, including Annie and Sammy, to spend the night at his penthouse.
With the best of intentions, Darcy asks Annie and her seven siblings to join the Bennet sisters for a quiet Christmas Eve celebration in his London fortress. The skulduggery begins when Caroline Bingley - the villainess Austen fans love to boo - shows up acting the part of the Grinch and Scrooge combined.
Barbara Silkstone is the best-selling author of 10 novels and four box sets. Her comedy mysteries feature goodhearted heroines caught up in screwball situations.
Mister Darcy's Christmas is the second book in Silkstone's Mister Darcy series of light comedies based on Jane Austen's timeless tales of jolly old England.

Love Love Love this story!!
I was so excited when this book became available in audio version..
The characters in this book are so much fun!! The relationship between Lizzy and Mister Darcy moves along in this second book of the Mister Darcy Series. The story is sweet and Annie just melts your heart. I really hope that some of these same characters make an appearance in the next book.
This is a really sweet book, that just warms your heart.

Not a bad story, and some clever updating of the well known and beloved characters (or, despised characters in some cases), but just not outstanding. Outright theft of Bridget Jones' Marc Darcy's Christmas sweater- not nice! Worst strike against this book, however, is the robotic voice of its narrator. And, judging by the free intro for the next book, Mr Darcy's Secret, she (it) is along for the series run. I won't go
Lovely Christmas story
This is a part of a great fun series. This one can be listened to as a standalone.
