Sneaks - Look Like That*

Washington, DC multi-instrumentalist/producer/poet Eva Moolchan, aka Sneaks, is a minimalist post-punk artist known for witty blends of chants and spoken-word vocals over beds of lo-fi bass, drum machines, and minimal keyboards. On It’s a Myth, the 2017 album on Merge Records, Sneaks offers her longest track (weighing in at a whopping three minutes and fifteen seconds), “Look Like That.” Staying true to form Moolchan offers up a catchy monotone refrain, “What do they look like? They look like that, they look like that” over a pulsating bass synth and snappy 80’s drum break; it’s elegant in its simplicity and hard not to nod your head and sway (at very least).
