Mixed DNA Podcast

This week, because it's a long weekend for both Canada and the US, we decided to talk about cottage country. For us Canadians, going up North to a cottage is a favourite long weekend tradition. But, that's not necessarily the case for all Canadians. For this episode we're looking at who practices this very Canadian tradition, what it entails, what makes it fun (or not) and we'll share why we like or don't like going to the cottage.

This week, as Pride month comes to a close we wanted to take this episode to focus on some amazing members of the LGBTQ+ community who also happen to be members of the POC community. We'll share the stories of some advocates and trailblazers and close out by sharing some of our favourite POC LGBTQ+ TV characters.

This week Mixed DNA is looking into mainstream society's fascination with being offended by almost everything. It's gotten difficult to speak about many topics by fear of offending people. From race to sexual orientation to genders and identity; many topics are becoming off limits - but that in itself is also a problem. Society seems to have a soft skin lately and we're not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.
