Charlottetown-based indie rock group Absolute Losers are absolutely not losers.
Consisting of bassist and lead vocalist Sam Langille, drummer and backing vocalist Daniel Hartinger, and guitarist and backing vocalist Josh Langille, the group formed in 2019 though their roots span back much further.
Brothers Josh and Sam wrote songs before the band formed. Sam and Daniel met in middle school and when rehearsing to perform for a school play, enlisted the help of Josh to round out their lineup.
This led to the group as it stands today - a trio of post-punk-influenced indie rock with groovy bass, slacker vocals, steady drums and lots of chemistry.
Their debut LP "At The Mall" calls to East Coast rockers of the 90s and 00s such as Sloan, Two Hours Traffic, and the more-recent Kiwi jr. - with a unique and fun twist.
They joined Landon at CKDU 88.1fm to chat about their new record, influences, origins, the PEI music scene, playing in Halifax, and lots more.
