Just back from Israel, Miriam presented a packed show focusing on our brothers and sisters in Israel. First, she spoke with Avnet Kleiner from ALEH-Negev about what it takes to keep everyone safe in that facility for physically and mentally challenged children and adults while rockets are falling around them. No small task.

Then YU's Rabbi Kenny Brander discussed the Counterpoint mission in Dimona and how YU students are making a difference there. Plus, Rabbi Brander has a son presently serving in the IDF. Hear that story as well.

Finally, Ariella Wiener has started an online campaign to do something nice for a segment of the Israeli population we may not be thinking about: the wives of the IDF. Hear all about it and how you can help.

On this edition of That's Life, Dr. Rona Novick, author, lecturer and Dean of YU's Azrieli Graduate School, joined the program to discuss her latest piece for Times of Israel. Hear how the language we use in our homes and how we speak about the situation in Israel will shape the future.

And then Shifra Klein from Joy of Kosher shared the behind the scenes of the new issue and how a watermelon cake is going to be the hit of the season.

Then Miriam turned her focus to July 4th with discussions about Jews who serve in the US Armed Forces.

Yeshiva University's Professor Jeffrey Gurock discussed the history of Jewish Americans in the military and how since the birth of this country, Jews have fought on its behalf.

And then Captain Mark Liebman (Navy, ret.) a combat veteran of Vietnam, Desert Shield and Desert Storm joined the program to discuss being a Jewish fighter pilot, the challenges of being Jewish and serving, and what its like to be in the family business.

On this edition of That's Life, Miriam was joined by Rabbi Elimelech Goldberg from Kids Kicking Cancer who will be the featured speaker this weekend at the YI of Woodmere.

Plus, the OU's 9th Marriage Enrichment Retreat is coming up. Miriam and the listeners heard from Program Manager Hannah Farkas about what people can expect that weekend and how happily married couples can benefit from being there.

And finally, Eli Hagler is an advisor to the newly named Yachad's Inaugural Jewish Communal Leadership Program. Miriam and Eli spoke all about that new initiative.

On this edition of That's Life, Rochelle Shoretz, founder and Executive Director of Sharsheret joined Miriam to discuss the power of social media, the honor Sharsheret received at Mass General Hospital and where the organization is now.

Then Robby Berman, founder and director of HODs, joined Miriam to discuss organ donation and the newest people to get their organ donor cards. You won't believe who is on the list.

Then, Rabbi Yitzchok Moully, founder of The Creative Soul, featured in the WSJ, joined Miriam to explain how people can explore their Jewish Heritage through art and how a pop art show in Crown Heights came to be. And on the heels of their first solo gallery show opening this evening, Italian artist David Ariel de Guglielmi, who speaks no English, and his translator were live in the studio. Yes: the Chabad rabbi, the Italian artist and his translator, will all be a part of this "first" here on TL.

And finally, with the World Cup about to begin, and the Stanley Cup Finals not over yet, The Sports Rabbi Joshua Halickman joined the program to put it all in perspective.

Miriam presented a Yom Yerushalayim recap and a Celebrate Israel Parade preview on this edition of That's Life.

First up: Beit Orot's Zhlomo Zwickler joined the program to share the details of their Yom Yerushalayim celebration as well as insight into the new housing for 24 families that was just revealed.

Then, our friend Elie Klein - having just returned from arguably the hottest concert in Israel - told us what it was like to have Justin Timberlake perform in Tel Aviv and how JT really did with this crowd.

Shifting then to the celebration in New York City this Sunday, the JCRC's Michael Miller gave us a preview of the upcoming events this Sunday and what returning viewers will see this year for the first time.

And finally: Soulfarm's C Lanzbom, who will be performing as the parade's house band, joined us to wrap up the program
