This week, in North America, we experienced a viewing of the universal phenomenon of the solar eclipse. Wherever you are, whatever percentage of the eclipse was visible to you, it was a breathtaking event to behold.
And those who gathered — regardless of age, background, gender or race — were brought together and focusing on what makes us similar rather than what is different. And even if you were not around other people viewing the alignment of the sun, moon, and earth, there is comfort in knowing that we were all still experiencing it together.
It was a beautiful setting for a powerful, human experience for us all to savor.
