Tatsuro Taira is back on the winning track, but where does he currently stand in the contender line?

The 25-year-old super prospect took out Hyun Sung Park in dominant fashion in the #UFC Vegas 108 main event, needing a little more than a minute to submit the short-notice opponent. Afterwards, Taira discussed possible matchups with #UFC flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja and two-time champion Brandon Moreno. No matter what, the future is clearly bright for Taira.

On an all-new edition of On To the Next One, MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck and Alexander K. Lee discuss what’s the right career move for Taira after bouncing back from his first loss. Additionally, future matchups are discussed for Chris Duncan and Esteban Ribovics after both fighters scored thrilling wins and Fight of the Night honors, along with fellow main card winners Karol Rosa, Neil Magny, Kevin Vallejos, and more.

All that and another fine selection of listener picks.

UFC Vegas 108 delivered a lot of action — especially on the main card, but it was the final three bouts of the UFC's return to the APEX that will steal headlines for the next few days. In the main event, Tatsuro Taira destroyed Hyun Sung Park with relative ease via second-round submission to bounce back from his lone career loss.

Following the event, MMA Fighting's Mike Heck and Jed Meshew react to the card, Taira's spectacular performance, his post-fight interview getting awkward with Michael Bisping, and if he could get a title shot next. Additionally, they discuss the two Fight of the Year contending lightweight bouts between Chris Duncan and Mateusz Rebecki, and Esteban Ribovics and Elves Brener, other standout performances from the Fight Night event, and much more.

Our two night SummerSlam has almost arrived, and what did WWE do to prepare us?

John Cena, in his best Big Show impersonation, turned face tonight… maybe? We debate the genuineness of John now becoming a face… and does it make Cody a heel?

An AEW match breaks out on WWE TV, with titles that aren’t WWEs being defended on their show. Tony Khan is either having an aneurysm or needs a kleenex.

Honestly, this was a skippable SmackDown. Watch WWE Unreal instead, or maybe season 9 of Dallas.

We also prepare you for SummerSlam.

LT and BC are back on a Friday to get you ready for the weekend in combat sports.

First, a UFC Apex Preview - Tatsuro Taira is facing Hyun Sung Park on very-late notice. And Chris Duncan and Mateusz Rebecki face off in the co-main event.

The fellas preview the PFL World Tournament.

Plus, Conor McGregor lost his appeal of being held liable for sexual assault. Where does this leave the case moving forward?

See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

For the first time in 10 months, UFC flyweight prospect Tatsuro Taira returns to the octagon this Saturday, but he won't be competing against Amir Albazi. After Albazi had to exit due to not getting medically cleared, Taira now faces Hyun Sung Park in the main event of UFC Vegas 108. Can Taira return to form against a tough short notice replacement opponent?

Ahead of this weekend's UFC Fight Night event, MMA Fighting's Mike Heck and Alexander K. Lee preview the promotion's return to the APEX, the flyweight headliner between Taira and Park, and what potentially comes next for the winner. Additionally, they discuss the wild lightweight co-main event between Mateusz Rebecki and Chris Duncan, Neil Magny trying to avoid the first three-fight losing streak of his career, other standout fights on the card, and much more.
