Jim and Matt welcome a pair of first-time callers from California as featherweight newcomer Aaron Pico and welterweight veteran Daniel Rodriguez join the show.

To kick things off, the highly-touted Pico discusses his wrestling and boxing roots, early career setbacks, and how the weight of his family’s historic name shapes the fighter—and man—he is today. Jim and Matt also throw on their matchmaking hats to help fantasy-book his long-awaited UFC debut.

Later, D-Rod checks in to talk about snapping a losing streak with a gritty win over Alex Morono, and why his May 3rd showdown with Santiago Ponzinibbio has Fight of the Night written all over it. He also shares stories from his tough upbringing in L.A. and breaks down how he’s preparing for this high-stakes clash in Des Moines.
