MMH - The Home Of Rock Radio Podcasts

Originally broadcast on 21-06-21, Losin’ It With Luscious # 56 is bratty, puerile, mature, thoughtful, nihilistic, subtle, unhinged, opinionated commentary and music thrown at the listener like so much rotten, yet strange fruit. From new unknown talents to punk rock royalty, this episode is no exception!

The Wildhearts will be headlining the MMH 10th Birthday Bash in November this year, at the Mill in Digbeth. Charl spoke with rock 'n' rollers about their upcoming album release and how it feels to be back doing what they do best!

One band you need to keep a lookout for this year is The Hara. A trio that oozes an alternative/rock sound, comprising Josh Taylor (Frontman), Zack Breen (Guitar), and Jack Kennedy (Drums), who stormed their way through the iTunes Album charts with their 2020 releases. Latest EP’s ‘Play Dead’ hit #1 across All Genres and ‘We Are The Movement’ hit #1 in the Rock Charts and #2 across All Genres! With an albums worth of songs released in 2020 they were expected to perform to more than 250k people across their largest headline tour and summer festival appearances including Download, Reading & Leeds, Trnsmt, and more. A 2021 rescheduled tour and reconfirmed dates for even more festivals emphasises the growing popularity of a sound from THE HARA you cannot ignore.

Emerging from ash and rubble, Lotus Eater start their new beginning with Vermin, their hard-hitting & incredibly aggressive first single from their new era. Talking with Charl Hooper of the MMH Crew, they discuss their new single featuring Bring Me The Horizon star, Olly Sykes, as well as how they intend to make their mark on the mental world. Welcome to Gloom.

Punk-rocker Frank Turner rocked the stage of this year's Download Pilot on Sunday evening. Charl spoke with Frank about his epic band The Sleeping Souls who joined him for this exclusive set, as well as his latest single The Gathering, and what he has planned for the rest of 2021!

Charl spoke with Conjurer at the last Download Festival in 2019; 2 years later after a pandemic, Conjurer hit the stage once again at this year's Download Pilot - killing it as always. Listen to the interview in FULL right here!

After a decade of songwriting and mixing for other talented artists, Cassyette is starting her own venture into the spotlight! This interview at the Download Pilot event explores how she developed her own sound and style, as well what we can look forward to from her next!

Charl Hooper spoke with Scott and Ali, vocalist and drummer of Scottish metalheads Bleed From Within. Talking about their lockdown release 'Fracture', as well as what it felt to be playing on the main stage of this year's Download Pilot - an emotional weekend that was certainly one to remember.
