Greetings once again, everyone! Would you prefer eating at home or eating out? I bet most of us would choose the latter because it’s quick, easy and saves a lot of money. Does it really give us those benefits though?
All the irresistible offers that come from fast food outlets may seem to save a few ringgits and a lot of time. However, they cost your health so much, that in the long run, enough damage is done to prevent you from having a good quality of life. Not to mention, while many restaurants and fast food outlets offer us convincing marketing statements that they provide healthy and nutritional food, studies frequently find that this isn’t the case. The sugar and sodium content of most processed foods cause them to be serious threats to our health. These are also the same qualities which allow these foods to become addictive.
On the contrary, we can control the quality of the food when we prepare them ourselves which helps us save our health and cost at the same time. Thus, home meals are indeed the best choice for having a consistently healthy, budget-friendly diet. With the current MCO, we feel it is all the more important to know more about such a healthy life hacks for yourself and your loved ones at home. So what are you waiting for? Tune in to hear it from our nutrition consultant, Ms Shanice Tan!
Ms Shanice is a nutritionist in the area of expertise for community nutrition, health and wellness. She has done her Bachelor's of Nutrition Science (BSc Hons) and currently working at Junior Nutri Chef & Food Story MY.

Hello everyone! We are proud to announce our upcoming episode which will focus on one of the most significant yet neglected organs in our body - the heart.
Over the years, cardiovascular diseases remain the highest mortality rate not only in Malaysia but worldwide too! In view of such alarming data and the need to curb the issue, we have collaborated with Ms Ceymone, our dietitian expert, once again to highlight how much food plays a dominant role in determining the health of our hearts.
There are many risk factors that contribute to cardiovascular diseases. Not all are modifiable, however, our diet is. Limiting how much saturated and trans fats you eat is an important step to reduce your blood cholesterol and lower your risk of coronary artery disease. A high blood cholesterol level can lead to a buildup of plaques in your arteries, called atherosclerosis, which can increase your risk of a heart attack.
While we take pride in the diverse savouring cuisines our country is known for, we must also remember to treat our heart right. Tune in to find out more on how to practice a heart-healthy diet!

Greetings everyone! We are back with the next episode of our podcast series. This time we will be collaborating with Miss Ceymone Ng, a dietician who works at Nutrafit. She graduated from International Medical UNiversity(IMU) and had prior intensive clinical and community training in different settings and various health conditions.
In today’s discussion, we will be having a discussion on why diets don't work. Yes, you read it right. You probably have this notion that dieting is a good way to lose or maintain our body weight. Besides, there are umpteen types of diets that are being introduced to us such as Ketogenic and Atkin diets so it is not surprising that most of us feel the need to follow a strict diet to achieve a certain body figure or health goal.
While it is true that we have to watch what we eat, an immoderate restriction on food consumption may not do as much benefit to your body as you think it might. In fact, frequent dieting disrupts the body’s natural relationship with food. So, how can we eat mindfully without falling for the “diet trap”? Tune in to find out more with our dietitian expert, Ms. Ceymone!
