The first in a series of expository sermons on Exodus 16. Deals with some aspects of translation, calendar, and the problem of murmuring and grumbling rather than being thankful for all of Yahweh's blessings.
Whenever we undergo temptation and sin, is Yahweh responsible? Surely he could have steered us in another direction? Listen to learn about admitting our failures and accepting responsibility in our sanctification.
We may come to the Master, and even listen to the Master, but if we do not act upon what we are listening to then we are foolish. This may sound simple, but it is the reason why we often do not see the results in our life that we think should be there. We can't expect anything different to happen if we keep failing to act upon our Messiah's teachings.
Evil works are produced by an evil heart. Good works are produced by a good heart. But if all of our hearts are evil, how does one obtain or get a good heart? Listen to learn of our sinfulness, but Yahweh's greatness, grace, and mercy.
Continuing in the One Name Tradition series, I cover Philippians 2 in more detail along with beginning to cover some intricacies in Matthew 28:19, and the debate between Oneness Pentecostals and Classic Trinitarians. This one promises to get you thinking.
We are all blind leaders and blind followers. Left to ourselves we would all end up in the pit. We must solely rely on the only teacher who is not blind to teach us. Only then will we constantly see the sinner that we are, and be encouraged by His love to slowly become more like our teacher.
This lesson finishes covering Jeremiah 23 and then delves into other passages (Acts 7 and Philippians 2). What does Paul mean when he says that the Son was given the name which is above every name? When was the Son given this name above every name?
Trials are... trials. They are tough, and unpleasant when we go through them. But they are given to us by Yahweh to make us into who He would have us to be. We should pray for wisdom to know how to go through them, not escape them. If Yahweh has blessed you with faith, that faith will get you through every trial, no matter how hard it may seem.
This broadcast begins to look at Scriptures that are commonly used to teach the Oneness or One Name doctrine. The texts dealt with here are John 5:43 and 46, Matthew 21:9, and Jeremiah 23:5-6.
