Friday: 3-2 OTW

• Fischer / Arnott (PP) / Smith

• Gave up the 1st goal (again) but actually found a way to win

• Surrendering the late (15.24) P3 goal was a backbreaker

• Gajan started

• Five penalties in the game (UMD: 1/4 PP - Opp: 0/2)

• 1 Kneeing major on Miami

• Led to UMD goal

• Max Plante OT pass was incredible - hope DET wasn’t watching

• Shots: UMD-41 | Opp: 27

• Blocks: UMD-8 | Opp: 9

• Faceoffs: UMD-28 | Opp: 25

Saturday: 1-1 Tie (SOW)

• Dom James

• Thought Shaugabay scored, but was just a good bounce

• Scored first, but gave up a “late” (8:59 P3) goal again.

• Goalies on both sides made this a fun 1-1 game to watch

• Gajan started again and looked great

• Plante & Pionk only 2 UMD players to score in 9 round shootout

• Just four penalties in this one (UMD: 0/2 PP - Opp: 0/2)

• Gallatin gets a makeup Major (also kneeing) in P1

• 12:20 Fri, 12:15 Sat

Overall Weekend Notes:

• The boys played not to lose - not my ideal style of hockey

• Gajan got Rookie of the week honors**
