Under both of his aliases (“Widow” for deep, atmospheric techno and “Cicada” for longform ambient compositions): Multimedia artist and writer Ian “Widow” Davidson specializes in telling stories and building complexly layered cinematic worlds in association with classic cinema.

Ian believes in the power of nostalgia and gives subtle nods to originality within a natural perception. In other words, he is a studious observer of the natural world around us. Being affiliated with Monument Magazine in Norway, also as a founder of Studio 72 Sessions in California & Midnight Sessions in NYC, and becoming a co-founder of Provoke U.S. alongside A.M.D. also in NYC - Ian often strives to explore and elevate the stories of other artists as well.
