I believe Moana and her people knew that Elsa would one day be the fifth spirit. I think they were aware of the person who would bring peace between nature and mankind because they could see the future. I think the close relationship between Moana’s people and the ocean is fundamental to understanding how they were able to know about Elsa, Aladdin, Wreck-It Ralph and their future.
