To be "The Dad" that we should be we must be courageous and take risks. The next generation is looking to godly men to be role models as strong, focused children of God.

Jesus answers the Pharisees by enlightening them that God desires mercy over their legalistic religious rituals and traditions. Jesus gives one of his most clear statements of focus in His ministry, "I did not come to call the healthy, I came for the sick." The Gospel is not for good people, it is for bad people that know they are bad and need Jesus.

Matthew shows us three different types of followers of Jesus; the Fan, The Enthusiastic Follower, the Average Disciple. Jesus was us to know that being a true follower is not about what you get out of it and requires sacrifice with total commitment to Him. We all have to make the decision, "Is Jesus worth the price I will pay for following Him?" How will you answer this question?

Matthew provides the proof that Jesus is the Messiah by having authority and power over disease. Miracles only God could perform.

What we learn from the resurrection is that we who believe have

hope, abundance, and eternal life in Jesus. And today we’re going to see why

the promise of heaven is no small thing, but rather one of the most encouraging things in the lives of those who follow Christ.

Jesus' last words on the cross were "It is finished." His work is complete. What is that He finished and what does his completed work mean to us?
