This week, we are joined by Austin Stone of Tactical Approach Outdoors. Austin walks us through a tactical approach to post-season scouting. This episode is chock-full of great tactical instruction. 

In this episoide of "Do This Now" we dive into boots on the ground pre-scouting. We are going to scout for rut locations. Here is the quick breakdown of the steps we are going to take. 

1. Walk the parameters of the property, looking for and marking major runs on our mapping app. 
2. Walk the major runs back looking for doe bedding. 
3. Find doe bedding with rubs and scraps on the outside of the bedding. 
4. Walk the runs leading into the bedding back 200-300 yards to find the why. 
5. Identify your stand tree and mark the best access path. 
6. Repeat

Mike is a Maryland hunter who hunts private and public for many years and has been able to find consistency without pre-scouting. Mike uses a combination of historical data and what he calls mico adjustments based on real-time data.
