Had another impactful episode with John MacLaren of Team Eagle One. We discussed brain chemistry and how we actually understand change and evolution. John explained how the human brain sees diversity and inclusion.

John was voted one of the top 100 most influential trainers/mentors of the 20th century for my fitness and health industry work. He is the lead mentor/instructor and National Director for the U.S. Navy SEAL Candidate program. Eagle One is a diversity program that boasts the highest successful graduation rate of any Navy SEAL candidate training program in the country.

His passion is his work, which leaves him as tireless as he is motivated. He delivers advanced personal and community leadership development seminars and develops security details and strategies nationwide.

Daniel spent his entire life learning to thrive in a body that some consider to be deeply flawed. As someone who was born blind, and with a connective tissue disorder, he is well-acquainted with the low expectations encountered by those with disabilities. These experiences have ignited a fire in him to help create a world in which everyone is afforded the opportunity to reach their potential without the barriers that hold so many of us back. In 2018, he entered the University of Baltimore School of Law, with aspirations of practicing at the intersection of healthcare and civil rights law. His involvement in Peaces of Me is an outgrowth of these efforts. Our collective passion for advocacy and furtherance of equity and inclusion runs deep.

Over the past several years, Mr. Rockis has been highly successful in providing leadership in collaborative efforts among business, industry, and education. He is the recipient of numerous national and state awards, and has written three textbooks, two of which are currently used extensively in training apprentices for electrical and electronic occupations.

As an advisor to both education and industry, Mr. Rockis has served as a consultant to manufacturers such as Caterpillar, Inc. in the design and construction of laboratory trainers and curricula that are used to teach the skills identified by industry as necessary for employment.
