Porkbelly, Chapter 14 (The Drop). Roman, a late 20s Englishman, meets a new love interest named Jenny, his same age, in a park on a November night in Chicago. Roman leaves to meet his sister, Magdalena, for dinner. It is then revealed that Roman has been cast in a reality tv show for which Magdalena is the executive producer. The fact that Railey DuBois, the novel's 22-year-old heroine, and Roman's previously established love interest, is the subject of the show is let drop at the chapter's close.

This chapter marks the end of the exposition of the novel and the entrance of a dramatic new plot point. However, the novel will continue to twist and turn. It is not "The Truman Show" incarnate, though it may seem that way for a bit here.
