Today we are joined by writer, producer, actress, and model Emily Ruhl. Emily was recruited for modeling at New York Fashion Week when she was only 13, so we begin by discussing how the modeling industry impacted her and her relationship with herself, her body, and those around her. Next we get into her transition from modeling into acting, directing, & producing, as well as the inspiration behind her two short films “Blue Moon” and “13th Stepping.” We all commiserate around the unique challenges women face in the entertainment industry and achieving success in general. She opens up to us about some of the painful experiences that helped inspire her art, as well as her love life in general. More specifically, her romantic relationships on and off set, the hilarity of directing her own sex scene, and working with stars like Nicholas Hoult and Josh Hutcherson.
