I didn’t have much time to research this past week, so we did this one without a script and with me speaking entirely on experience! Never compare yourself! “the light you see in others is also within you.”

Wow, it’s been a minute. Thank you for being so patient while I uploaded and recorded this episode- there has been so many life changes (all good though) and I know I went MIA! In this episode we talk about authenticity, and how to maximize your own authenticity to get whatever you want out of life (specifically, with your career).

How disappointing is it when you have all of these things you’re proud of that you’ve done, and no one seems to be as excited about it as you are? How defensive do you get when that happens? In this episode we’ll be talking about the art of not caring, staying centered, and letting your work as well as your authenticity speak for you.

So you’ve achieved all these things…now what? You’re sitting at home and find yourself undermining your success- saying it was easy and that anyone could do it. But the truth is they can’t! You now have to acknowledge your own hard work and perseverance in order for you to fully accept the recognition you’ve received. In this episode, I give you advice on how to remind yourself you are worthy of every good thing.

Stop! Comparing! Yourself! In the modelling industry especially it is so easy to compare yourself to someone and think “wow I wish I was like them”. But what they fail to realize is that diversity is beauty, and if we were all the same person we wouldn’t be able to create as much as we do. Another person’s success/win is not your loss.

Ew ew ew. With Megan Fox being Megan Fox, I am honestly not surprised at the over-sexualization she’s faced in the industry. Unfortunately I couldn’t tell all her experiences, otherwise I think we would be here for at least an hour, but we focus mainly on her weird working relationship(?) with Michael Bay. How does fixing a car show your acting skills?? Why would you cast a 15 year old as a stripper, and then make her dance soaking wet under a waterfall when she couldn’t get into the bar? It’s just common decency people, c’mon.

We discuss how rejection is simply redirection and how to maintain a positive mindset when you are rejected in the modelling industry. I offer some advice on what has helped me, and explain why casting directors, agents, etc. may turn you down (and how to consistently get yes’)

Oh man, oh man, oh man…where do I begin? This episode was inspired by Models Empowered’s recent episode (check them out if you haven’t already), I thought I could talk about the points they discussed and say what my own experiences were on this topic, as well as offer advice that I’ve found has helped me.
