Join me as I talk with Jessica, Modern Cowgirl, Entrepreneur & Founder of “Branded In Ink” an innovative and relevant company serving ranch, cowboy and western culture. Among the rocks and sage of Oregon, the traditions of a high desert cattle operation still live on. Jessica Hedges captures its stories through cowboy poetry, photography and social media interaction. As wife to a full time cowboy and mother to two little buckaroos in training, her writing provides a unique perspective into the function of a modern ranch family. With epic country as her background, her life is shaped by the cattle, horses, gear and people she’s privileged enough to work along side.

Brent grew up in Everman TX his dad worked at millers and his mom is a CPA. He didn’t grow up riding horses and started roping when he was a sophomore in high school. He went anywhere and everywhere he could and learned and self taught himself riding and roping off of whatever he could find. He went to work for a man named Foy Keys, who owned a utility construction company that had been in business for 20 plus years. Foy roped calves and trained horses back when he was younger and was a big help to Brent, they would work all day come home and rope until it got dark. Brent had a great chance to buy Foy’s company in 1989 just after he got married.
Brent turned it into a very successful utility construction company, he would put in long hours working all day and come home and train young horses and rope in the evenings. Rodeo all weekend long and back to work on Monday. But deep down the dream to break, start and train rope horses never left. Brent decided in 2012 that he would take a leap of faith and walk away from a company that he had built up to follow his dreams of becoming a full time trainer. Brent not only has had a chance to live out his dream but also is blessed to work and take care of a cow calf operation where he gets to combine his passion for training great ranch and rope horses and take care of cattle his second passion.
Brent had a chance a few years ago to purchase a remarkable 3 yr old mare named Smokin Lena Nena better known at Cat. She qualified for the AQHA World Show and placed in the top 5. The next year Brent had a chance to sell her to Marshall Leonard from Louisiana, Marshall finished in the top 3 at the Worlds one day richest rodeo The American. Brent always has young Ranch Horses that he starts in the pasture and then transitions to the Arena.

Chris “Booger” Brown
Booger grew up on the family farm, and has been a rancher his entire life. He is also an accomplished horseman and renowned horse trainer whose natural instincts allow him to “think like a horse.” Booger has a fun-loving personality and is often quick to joke around with his best buddies. After several “adventures” in dating, including a less than successful online match, Booger met Jaclyn on a blind date arranged by Misty. The couple married in September, 2017. As they start their lives together, Booger settles into his instant family, taking on the role of daddy—and cowboy mentor—to son, Matthew.
Booger Brown, star of The #CowboyWayAL on INSP! Professional Horse trainer and Cattle Rancher.
